I won’t even pretend to understand all of this, but what I think he is saying is that because of Google’s failure to address privacy and security, the rise of blockchain, which offers security at least, is on its way. One thing we both agree on is that the turn the tech giants have taken, away from an open web into monopolies and power hungry giant corporations is a sad outcome for what we all hoped was truly a way to provide equality for all.
